Summer Learning Assignments
Kinder: Parents - read nightly to your children and have children "read" to you. Practice walking to school and visit the line up location outside the north Leavitt entrance.
1st: Write first name with upper and lower case letters; Know numbers 1-20
Know sight words: the, I, was, to, and, a, was, you, he, it
2nd: Practice RazKids or IXL for 30 minutes a week.
Master Level 1 Sight Words by the end of 1st grade. Practice Level 2 Sight Words and 3 Sight Words.
Addition/Subtraction facts within 20 (single digit) mastered coming into 2nd grade
3rd: Complete book report here

4th: Read 3 books from 3 genres; Master 100 multiplication facts in 5 minutes
5th: Read "Harry Potter";
Simplify fractions with denominators up to 36
6th: Master these IXL strategies and select a book from recommended reading list
7th: Master operations with integers (practice on IXL) - add, subtract, multiply and divide negative and positive numbers
8th: Complete 5 Newsela articles (minimum lexile 1000), write ups and quizzes of your choice;
IXL practice 11th grade F.1 and F.2; 11th grade Greek and Latin Roots N.1-N.5; 11th grade Analyzing Literature d.1-d.3
